Almost all the dieter in the United States have been known zone diet and zone diet food which is developed by Drs. Barry Sears. Most people know the zone diet is a weight loss program alone. However, the fact is more than just that. In addition to weight loss problems, zone diet also makes people able to change their eating behavior to maintain a healthy body and achieve a healthy lifestyle. Through his research, Dr. Sears found the fact that there is a direct relationship between eating habits and the body and mental health.
If we intend to think that according to human nature since in the mother’s womb, we need food just to survive. This means that we consume food only in the right size and at the right time too, just like a baby in the mother’s womb. According to Drs. Sears, creator of the zone diet, zone diet food must meet the 40:30:30 rule of 40% carbohydrate, 30% fat, and 30% protein. According to food should be treated as prescription drugs. They must be taken in appropriate amounts and at the right time.
If you follow the Zone diet, then we should choose carbohydrate foods that contain low starch, lean protein and heart-friendly monounsaturated fat. They can consist of fruits and vegetables. Zone is allowed to block you will determine the amount of your food. The number of block zone varies in each person. But generally, if we are women, then we are allowed to choose up to 11 zone block every day. While zone block 14 is the amount allowed for men. To remember is that in each zone is allowed to block remain in compliance with rule 40% carbohydrate, 30% fat, and 30% protein.
You can use the zone diet calculator to assist you in calculating the amount of block zone of protein, carbohydrate, and fat intake is permitted as of the day. This calculation is based on the numbers: weight, height and number of other measures. You should know that in each block zone there are 3 mini-blocks of fats, carbohydrates and protein. Next to each mini-block is 1.5 grams of fat, 9 grams of carbs and 7 grams of protein.
The Allowed Kinds of Food On The Zone Diet:
It is important to increase the intake of low-carbohydrate starches, including:
Broccoli
Boiled Cabbage
Tomatoes
Blueberry
Black beans
Eggplant
Mushroom stew
Also, do not leave fat at all. Fats are allowed include:
tahini
Almond
Peanut butter
Avocado
Macadamia nuts
Peanuts
You are also strongly advised to consume lean protein. Lean protein consists of:
shellfish
egg white
calamary
soy sausage
chicken without skin
fat-free cheese
soy burger
When it came time for you to follow the Zone diet, by now you should start to like to eat fish and chicken. This is because the zone diet recommends fish and chicken as the main intake of lean protein. But if you are a vegetarian, you can replace the fish and chicken with soy and products made from soybeans. On the other hand, even if you are a vegetarian, does not mean you can eat all kinds of vegetables and fruits. You must avoid vegetables and fruits that contain high sugar, such as: corn, potatoes, carrots, grapes and bananas.
